Ecstasy Light Inertia

Hello!,

I’m very pleased to present my project “Ecstasy / Light/ Inertia: Interactive Gamification for New Electroacoustic Music and Sound Art”. The materials here contained are as follows:

  • The final build of the interactive application “Ecstasy / Light / Inertia”, an .exe file for Windows 10/11.

  • The written companion documenting and expanding aspects of the project above.

Please click here to download the PDF

  • A video recording of the interactive experience (scroll below), as an alternative for evaluation, if a Windows computer with a dedicated video card is not immediately available

Technical considerations:

Ecstasy / Light/ Inertia” was developed in Unreal Engine 4.26 using high-quality real-life 3d scans. In order to run adequately, it requires a modern gaming computer with a dedicated video card (GPU, or graphics processing unit). Extensive tests have been undertaken and technical measures have been implemented to maximize compatibility, however, given the substantial number of possible combinations of hardware that configure modern PCs, some technical issues might occur related to performance. In the unlikely case of having problems that make the experience unplayable, please contact me so I can provide technical assistance.

Video Recording:

This video recording presents a real-time capture of the experience, from beginning to end, played from the final build available to download above. The video is completely unedited to provide an accurate representation of the application, but given that there are two different possibilities for endings, the second ending is included after the first credits are concluded.
